Basic Knowledge of Arc Welding

What is required for your gas shielded arc welding? What are the improvement issues in the welding process?

Recently, we have held "Arc Welding Technology Training" for many customers, including automotive parts manufacturers. Among the frequently heard "voices" is the statement that "we must not allow quality defects to escape; if they do, it could be fatal." It has long been said that we are in the "era of quality," and as is well known, arc welding is prone to contamination around the weld due to spatter and fume generation. Additionally, because welding is performed at high speeds while feeding fine diameter welding wire through contact tips, there are many welding management conditions, making it easy for variations to occur. Therefore, efforts to maintain and improve quality are extremely important issues. For this reason, we recommend that customers adhere to the "three fundamentals" of arc welding through on-site advice and welding technology training, while always being aware of the two factors that significantly impact welding quality. 【Three Fundamentals of Arc Welding】 ■ Smooth wire feeding ■ Reliable power supply to the welding wire ■ Gentle supply of shielding gas to the weld area *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study of Special Forged Parts] Electrode (for the electrical industry / surge protection parts)

The request is for forging processing of pure copper! A case study of electrode production using a 2-die 3-blow forging machine.

We would like to introduce a case study of the production of special forged parts for the electrical industry, specifically "electrodes (surge protection components)." The features include a center pin within the recessed top surface and a lattice-shaped recess at the end face of the shaft, with a forging machine production capacity of 1,000,000 pieces per month. Our company is expanding the range of sizes that can be processed through the introduction of machinery, and we are not only engaged in the manufacturing of precision micro parts but also in the production of components related to the automotive and housing industries. ■ Request details: Forging processing of pure copper ■ Features and innovations: Center pin within the recessed top surface, lattice-shaped recess at the end face of the shaft ■ Forging machine production capacity: 1,000,000 pieces/month ■ Processing material: Pure copper wire, material diameter (mm) φ2.2 ■ Machinery used: 2-die 3-blow forging machine ■ Product size (mm): Maximum diameter φ6.0, minimum diameter φ1.8, total length 3.4 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Chrome copper electrode parts

Regarding chrome copper, there are no issues with lathe processing, but there were concerns about the broken M2 tap on the back side.

This is an electrode component made of chromium copper used in semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Our customer requested that it be made of chromium copper due to the need for strength, workability, and durability. While lathe processing of chromium copper is not an issue, there were concerns about the M2 tap breaking on the backside. However, at Copper Plate Processing.com, we were able to process it without any trouble by leveraging our past experience and know-how. Copper Plate Processing.com also handles various difficult-to-process materials, including chromium copper, pure copper, and pure aluminum. If you have any inquiries about processing chromium copper, please consult with Copper Plate Processing.com.
